Please note that the embroidered brand name has been replaced with either a stitched navy blue fabric tag on left sleeve or an anchor heritage tag stitched on left front bottom hem (see close up images). Depending on our stock levels, you will receive one or the other.

This tee shirt is not very dark navy blue or nearly black - it is BLACK - (OUR RESPONSE: as explained over the phone to this customer on 15th May 2024, as an official retailer of Armor-Lux, we have to list this garment as per their specifications ie dark navy as provided on the product labelling. However, in our product description, we always stated clearly that in our opinion, the dark navy is very dark, almost black. This is as it says, a lovely heavyweight cotton; the sizing is spot on, the cut excellent, the dark navy a lovely solid stripe. What’s not to like? I am delighted to buy Armor Lux from a British company rather than having to order from France in these days of no easy European trading. Good to support a home grown company too. This is a beautiful classic Breton top. The fabric is excellent quality and so soft - it moulds really well to the body. I was unsure about what size would be best for me (5'9", 130 lbs, 32D, wide shoulders so overall an inverted triangle shape) and was trying to decide between the brand's sizes 1 and 2. Ultimately I went for size 1 and am very happy with the fit. The sleeves are a little on the short side for my long arms, but as I normally wear sleeves pushed up a bit on a top like this (and on this shirt they stay pushed up very easily) it was not a major concern. Also, I would like to give the highest commendation to the customer service at The Nautical Company; they really went above and beyond to help me decide on the right size for me.Laura (22 Jul 2020, 10:32)
