All our payment cards are handled and processed by RBS WorldPay, the largest independent payment provider in the United Kingdom. As such The Nautical Company do not have access to your card details at any time. Once you are ready to pay for your order, you will be transferred securily to RBS WorldPay.

The RBS WorldPay Payment Gateway provides a secure encrypted connection between you and our merchant bank, to ensure that your card details are kept secure throughout the transaction process.  You can verify this two ways:

• A padlock will be visible in the bottom right of your web browser, this means you are in secure mode. This should always be there when entering personal or payment details.
• All transactions are done via the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) which you can check in your browser address starting as "https://".

With RBS WorldPay, The Nautical Company offers you Category 1 compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is the highest level of compliance possible. RBS WorldPay adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the payment procedure.

 We also offer payments via Paypal via Worldpay, should this be your preferred method.

Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode

While processing your card details, RBS WorldPay will require that you enter the last three digits at the back of your card to ensure that your card is not being misused. This is normal procedure.
For added online payment security, The Nautical Company also participates in Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. This service is offered by Visa and MasterCard, in association with the bank that has issued your credit/debit card. It is aimed at protecting you against unauthorized use of your card when shopping online at participating online retailers like ourselves. Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode is becoming a standard procedure across all shopping websites.

What you will see

If your card qualifies and you have not yet registered, simply follow the onscreen instructions. This process will create a private online code known only to you and your card issuer.

This is a completely secure process. The information you provide is completely private and will only be visible to you and your card issuer.

Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode is compulsory at The Nautical Company. If you're unsure about this new service, check with your card provider who will be able to assist you.

Security Checks

As part of our fraud prevention policy to protect any misuse of credit/debit cards, we carry out random security checks on orders. These can take different forms and may involve contacting you by telephone on a landline number before your order is processed. We also regret that we cannot accept deliveries to addresses different to that of your registered credit card address.

Alternative Payments

If you prefer you can pay by cheque as well. Either proceed through the checkout and choose the cheque payment at the end during the payment choice process. Alternatively, ring us on 01256 351 283 to place your order by phone.
