SHIPPING COSTS
- United Kingdom: one flat charge of £4.95 delivered by Royal Mail First Class "Signed For". Small items like some decorative items, socks, some scarves, hats and children's wear benefit from a reduced rate :
- £ 2 for socks
- £ 3.50 for other small items
However orders of multiple small items might bring the total delivery weight to our general flat fee of £4.95 calculated during checkout. Some heavy decor items have to be sent by normal post and not first class.
All UK exchanges are shipped free of charge.
Next Day Delivery: for an additional £ 6.30, you can opt for Royal Mail Next Day delivery if your order has been received between Monday and Thursday before 1pm UK time (working days). Click here for more details.
- International "Signed For": charged according to weight and destination. Cost is kept at the minimum starting at £9 and calculated at checkout, simply choose your country for a shipping estimate.
DISPATCH & SHIPPING TIME
Although our standard dispatch time is 1 to 2 working days, in reality we endeavour to post your orders as quickly as possible. All orders receive by 1pm are usually dispatched on the same day. Should this not be the case, the delivery time is stated when placing your order while choosing your item size.
All our items are sent with Royal Mail "Signed For" service. Should you not be available at the time of delivery, your postman will leave you a card with instructions to follow as to where to pick up your parcel.
On the date of dispatch, you will receive an email confirming all the details of your delivery. Your credit or debit card is only charged once your order has been completed and posted.
Estimated Shipping times from the day of dispatch:
- United Kingdom: from 1 to 2 working days at the exception of some decorative items which can be 3 to 4 working days.
- International: 5 working days for Europe and 7-10 working days for the rest of world including USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
All shipments are subject to availability and credit card verification & security checks.
RETURNS
Although we aim to provide you with quality pictures and accurate clothing description and sizing to make your shopping experience as easy as possible, we perfectly understand that you may wish to return or exchange your purchase.
Should you wish to do so, you have 28 days from receipt of the goods. Reduced items & sale items must however be returned within 7 days of reception date. Items reduced with a voucher code are counted as normal items and benefit from a 28 days returns as long as the original price was not already reduced or on sale. If the item was already reduced before you used a voucher code, the 7 days return policy prevails.

or telephone +44(0) 1256 351 283 at your earliest opportunity of receiving the item with your order number. This allows us to be aware of your return, deal with you more efficiently and in cases of exchanges, to reserve the new item in question.
- All items must be unworn with original labels still attached on. Please do not remove these product tags while trying the item on or regretfully your request will be refused. All our tags are unpriced so ideal for items bought as gifts.
In no circumstances, items soiled, stained and/or smelling of smoke, sweat, perfume or else or washed, or with original tags taken off will be accepted for refunds or exchanges.
- Please ensure that the item is returned in its original packaging, is adequately wrapped and sealed and is properly addressed.
- All items returned by you are at your own risk and we therefore strongly recommend you obtaining proof of postage and using a traceable and secure delivery agent e.g Signed For via Royal Mail as The Nautical Company cannot be responsible in the event your returned parcel goes missing in the post. We regret that any resulting shipping cost cannot be refunded.
All returns must be sent to the address stated on your invoice. In the event you have lost your invoice, please phone us or email us with our order number.
All refunds are made within 7 working days to the same payment method as the original order once the item has been received to our office. Should the business be closed for holidays, refunds will be issued soon after our re-opening date. You will be kept informed by email on the day the refund is processed.
In the case of exchanges, should you decide for a different item from the one originally purchased, the price difference will be either refunded or added to your original payment method.
